You may have recently seen advertisments for "natural breast augmentation" using ones own fat to augment the breast. This procedure is also referred to as "reverse liposuction". A patient undergoes liposuction then their fat cells are transferred to their breast tissue to create a "natural" look. Today we have more information on this topic. Read on to find out more.
Studies
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recently completed a study involving a 42-year old woman who had undergone a breast augmentation seven years prior to the study but was now dissatisfied with how she looked. The natural aging process and large size of her implants had resulted in a saggy appearance. She wanted to have the implants removed but was very concerned about how her breast would look following their removal.
One procedure, a natural look
Fortunate for her she was given the option to undergo a procedue where fat was collected form various regions of her ody and transferred to her breast.Luckily for this woman, she had the option of this new "reverse liposuction" procedure and went ahead with it. The doctor who designed this procedure chose to do it in such a way that the shape and volume would be maintained, and they would look more natural.
This type of implant can maintain the same volume much more easily than implants can, and the results will continue to be satisfactory. This is an exciting new find in the world of plastic surgery.
